Things to Love About the Packers

There are a lot of reasons to love Green Bay and if you’ve been watching games all your life on your direct.tv satellite you may not even know some of the interesting facts about your favorite team. Here are a few of the best reasons to love the Packers, in our opinion.
Green Bay is the smallest metro area to have a pro sports team and has only 100,000 people total.
The Packers were dreamed up when Lambeau and a colleague asked the Indian Packing Company to provide uniforms and a practice field way back in 1919.
The Packers are the only publicly traded sports franchise in the nation which makes them effectively “owned” by fans.
The waiting list for season tickets for the Packer’s games is estimated to be 30 years – people have been known to add their newborn babies to the list.
Players have been known to ride kids’ bikes to the practice field while the kids hold their helmets and jog alongside.
Many of the streets in Green Bay are named after famous players.
